How do you get people to remember to wear their seatbelt? Give them two fingers! One of the biggest contributing factors to road injury and death is from not wearing seatbelts. Armed with plenty of research that showed NT drivers were very relaxed about seatbelt usage, Brand+Story conceived a campaign that used a simple hand gesture to convey to car drivers and passengers that they needed to 'buckle up'. Using two fingers in the shape of a seatbelt across the body, this visual mnemonic quickly caught on the NT and helped deliver a vital message that all Territorians could understand. Watch out for the sign next time you're in the Northern Territory!
